Life, in general, is a gift.
Animals resist the threat of danger. At some point they become protective. Plants of different kinds flourish, and some are clothed with beautiful flowers, exhibiting life in beauty that expresses an unspoken desire to flourish. So, we admire the wonders of nature.
If this is how other creatures respond to life, humans couldn’t be different.
We carry in our hearts the dreams and desires of permanency on earth and the eternity of tomorrow. But some may be overwhelmed and choose to escape life’s ups and downs.
Truth is, the purpose of our existence is not measured by the mere length of our days. And living a long life may not also guarantee a meaningful life.
For some of those who are tired of this life, a long life is not worth it, and they want to end it so they can be spared of adversities.
Whether one lives long or not is not the only most important thing; it’s how well and fruitful our lives are. Some lived a short life, yet, their existence contributed to healing a broken world. Some lived a very long life, but their existence was a pain to Mother Earth
Let us aspire to a long, fulfilling life, where every moment is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of humanity.
Some who have walked this earth for only a brief time have left behind incredible legacies, helping to uplift our world. Conversely, some who lived for many years may have taken more than they gave, casting shadows instead of light.
At the end of it all, it’s what we write in the tablets of the hearts of men that counts, far more than the number of years we’ve lived.
The bottom line is that we must bear good fruits that should remain to provide nourishment to humanity. This way, the question of how long or brief you lived won’t matter.
Let your world remember, and let it be said of you that you did what you could, and that you ever lived. But even mere human remembrance shouldn’t be the motivation – since everyone withers quickly like the flowers of the grass and the memory of you vanishes in the air.
This is the conclusion of the matter: Live-to-Please-Your-Maker.
